WebDAV Attachment Sync

Starting from v2.5.5, you can configure a WebDAV server to store your personal reference attachments on your own cloud space. Attachments synced via WebDAV are no longer subject to the 20 MB cloud storage limit.

Configuration

1. Open Settings, and under General Settings find the Attachment Sync Method option
2. Select WebDAV — you can configure any WebDAV-compatible server, including personal private clouds and public servers

Example: Nutstore (坚果云)

1. Go to Nutstore’s web interface → Account Info → Security tab → Third-party App Management → click Add Application
2. Enter a recognizable name (e.g., “noteexpressweb”) and click Generate Password
3. The system will generate an app password — copy it or save it for later use
4. Return to NoteExpress Web, go to Settings → General → Attachment Sync Method → choose WebDAV, then fill in the server details
5. After successfully verifying the server, attachments will sync through that server and be stored under the noteexpressweb folder on the server, organized by reference ID

Synced attachments will display a text label indicating they are stored via WebDAV.

Important Notes

• For your information security, NoteExpress Web only stores the currently verified server connection information locally. Please back up your server credentials for configuration across different devices.
• It is recommended to use a fixed server to avoid missing files when switching between servers.
• Mobile app (latest version): Configure the same WebDAV settings in Me → Settings → WebDAV Configuration
• Tablet app (latest version): Configure in the top-right menu → Settings → WebDAV Configuration

Attachment upload rules and space usage policies are determined by the specific server you use.
