Starting from v2.5.2, the AI Assistance menu includes a Deep Research feature that constructs a research framework around a specific topic, gathers source materials, and generates a research report based on primary documents.

Deep Research is particularly well-suited for tasks requiring multi-step reasoning and cross-source data integration. Academic use cases include:

• Conducting interdisciplinary literature reviews
• Performing complex experimental design and data analysis

How to Use

Navigate to AI Assistance → Deep Research to begin.

1. Enter a research question — The AI first parses the topic and supports narrowing down broad themes into more specific directions
2. Generate an outline — The AI produces a structured research outline
3. Retrieve from authoritative sources — The AI searches across trusted academic databases
4. Generate the report — A final research report is produced

Preview Before Running

You can preview example results before deciding whether to use tokens to launch a full deep research session.

Export

Generated reports can be exported as:

• .md (Markdown)
• .pdf
• .docx (Word)

History

The History panel lets you review past research sessions. You can also choose “Re-research” to explore a topic again with updated parameters.
