Starting from v2.9.2, NoteExpress Web supports importing data not only from NoteExpress but also from EndNote and Zotero.
How to Import
- Click Add Reference → Import from Other Software. In the pop-up window, select the corresponding software type.
- After selecting the software type, choose the database file according to the rules below:
- NoteExpress: Automatically recognizes the
.ndbdatabase underC:\Users\<username>\Documents\NoteExpress\Libraries. You can also manually select a database stored in another location. After selecting the database, NoteExpress Web further recognizes the folders in that database. You can choose which folders to import. - EndNote: Manually select the local
.enldatabase. - Zotero: Automatically recognizes the local Zotero database.

- After import completes, NoteExpress Web preserves the original database’s folder structure, notes, and annotations. It also supports completing unrecognized data based on attachments.

Notes
- Starting from v2.9.3, NoteExpress Web supports directly recognizing
.ndbfiles to import NoteExpress data. In an empty folder’s dashed border area, you can also import via.qtqkfiles..qtqkfiles are generated through NoteExpress → Main Menu → Export NoteExpress Data Package. - EndNote databases converted or created by EndNote X9.3 and later versions are supported.
