NoteExpress Web supports custom translation engines and target languages, helping you choose the most suitable translation service for different scenarios.
Accessing Translation Settings
- Click your avatar in the top-left corner, or click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner
- Select the Translation Settings tab
Target Language
Set the language into which content will be translated.
Supported languages:
- 简体中文 (Simplified Chinese)
- 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese)
- English
- Deutsch (German)
- 日本語 (Japanese)
- Français (French)
- Español (Spanish)
- Русский (Russian)
Default: The current interface display language.
Translation Engine
Select which service engine to use for translation.

Custom Engine Management
Click “Manage Custom Engines” to open the management dialog. Here you can view and manage currently configured engines.
To add a custom engine:
- Select the desired engine type from the dropdown
- Fill in the required fields according to that engine’s API documentation
- Click “Verify” to test the configuration
- Click “Save” to complete
Supported custom engine types:
- Baidu Translate (百度翻译)
- DeepL
- OpenAI
- iFlytek (讯飞)
- Gemini
- Tencent Cloud (腾讯云)
- Google Cloud (谷歌云)
- Azure
- Alibaba Cloud (阿里云)
Note: Custom engine configurations are stored locally only. They support word-level and field-level translation but not full-text translation.
Enabling Terminology Database
When enabled, the translation will intelligently reference the terminology database to optimize translation results.
- Check “Automatically apply terminology database during translation”
- Click “Manage Terminology Database” to open the terminology manager
