After the v3.0.0 update, Online Search and Browser Search are integrated into the Discovery page.
Discovery serves as a unified information gateway that combines online search, database navigation, and subscription feeds. It integrates the original Online Search and Browser Search features to help you discover and access academic references more efficiently.
Click the Discovery icon in the left navigation bar to enter the Discovery page.
The Discovery page consists of the following parts:
Left sidebar: Search entry, subscription list
Navigation bar: Home page fixed at left, sequentially displaying open tabs, supports pinning tabs
Home page content:
- Search bar: Select an online search database from the dropdown list, get search inspiration from search examples. For NoteExpress Web engine that supports multiple search forms, you can jump to view search examples, or hide search examples.
- Subscriptions: Quick jump to the added subscription list, or hide the subscription area.
- Database navigation: Click to open the corresponding database web page. Custom link support is also in preparation. Currently supported:
- General Resources: Wentian Academic Search, CNKI, Wanfang Data, Weipu Chinese Journal Platform, Chaoxing Journals, Baidu Scholar, Google Scholar, OpenAlex, ScienceDirect, Springer Link, Taylor & Francis Online, SAGE Journals, ACS Publications
- Science & Medicine: NSFC Basic Research Knowledge Base, China Biology Medicine, Wanfang Medical, arXiv, PubMed, PMC, IEEE Xplore, BioMed Central, Engineering Village, ASM Journals, OSA Publishing
- Humanities & Social Sciences: National Social Sciences Academic Journal Database, Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI), JSTOR

Search
The Discovery left sidebar retains the original Online Search and Browser Search database entries, and also supports direct search and navigation from the main page.
Online Search
Select an online search database from the dropdown list in the home page search bar, enter keywords, and click the search button to perform the search.
Search results will open in a new tab, with the tab name being the corresponding database name.
Database Navigation
Database navigation provides quick access to commonly used academic databases. Click to open the corresponding database web page in the built-in browser.
